It’s been a long-time dream to be a part of this iconic event. Growing up in the small rural town of Methven getting into the outdoors was a huge part of most kids worlds. I have been involved in the ski industry my whole life from retail to my current role as sales and marketing coordinator at Mt Hutt. My eye opener to multi-sport came through my school years with various mountain run challengers and events. I know see myself involved in many events including the Peak to Pub, Mission Mount Somers and a number of other gigs.

My first introduction to the coast came when I was asked to team for a much younger Glen Currie in his first Coast to Coast. Getting the up grade to team for Braden Currie over the next few years means I have been involved in a number of Coast to Coasts. There are many highlights, being part of Braden’s winning team is one but watching both the boys podium was pure magic. Seeing the event grow over the years has been inspiring. I look forward to being part of the event and working hard to improve the experience for all competitors and crew. This event has always been a unique part of New Zealand and I can’t wait for us all to share that.

Even when we are Seventy down at the local, telling a yarn about our Coast to Coast experiences still carries massive clout and kudos.
